How You could become a Healthier and Happier You

To be Healthy and Happy, How are you going to get there?

Here are some ways that have worked for me.

Something that I have thought about throughout my adult years was how to live a healthier and happier life. I would say to myself "In order to be healthy, you have to be happy. But in order to be happy, you have to be healthy." Do you think it makes sense? Do you think they go hand in hand?

Here are five things that have been helping me live a healthier and happier life.

#1 - Step Outside for a Minute

Just being out and about could shift how your mind and body could feel. Now, I'm not saying go out and do something crazy or get into some kind of trouble, but something as simple as going to the store or even checking the mail and getting a simple breath of fresh air along with a feel from the sun could simply change your mood.

#2 - Exercise

Exercise! Before you tell yourself that it sounds like a lot of work, you don't have to go all out with intense workouts. But working out can and could definitely help uplift your mood and overall health.

#3 - What you consume, You become

Whatever you decide to "intake". That goes for both body and mind. Its about what you eat, what you drink, who you talk to, who you surround yourself with.

I have noticed, that when I eat a lot of processed foods, (you know the easy and convenient things you can buy for the busy everyday modern society we live in), it definitely helps kill the cravings and can give a short "boost" of energy. But then later, my mind and body (like within a couple of hours) would feel so tired and sluggish.

As when I eat some fruit like an apple, some berries, or a banana along with maybe even with a handful of crunchy granola, my body would feel amazing, my mind would feel focused and most of all, I would feel happier! I would feel healthier!

Have you ever notice how you are when you are around certain people? Or a certain someone? How is your behavior and actions influenced?

Are they influenced by things that can bring you down and cause you some kind of damage?

Or are they influenced to help benefit you and lift you up?

Okay, so I used to go out a lot. I mean a lot. I had friends at the time I would go hang out with and we would go to the bar, or go to some party. It's as if we were celebrating something for nothing most of the time.

Bottom line, all of the going out took a toll on my overall health. Mental and physical health. I felt gross, I felt unhappy, I felt miserable doing the same thing week after week.

I'm not saying going out is always a bad thing, but moderation and earning a celebration can be more fruitful.

#4 - Find and set a goal for yourself

Having a goal or goals could make a huge difference in your everyday life. What I feel from setting a goal or goals for myself is that I feel a sense of importance, a sense of purpose.

Overall, when I complete a goal or goals, my mind feels amazing. I feel accomplished, proud, and I feel happy.

It doesn't have to be anything major either. It could simply just be picking things up around the house to make it look more tidy.

I mean, who doesn't like a clean space and house?

#5 - Be true to yourself

Lastly, live a life that you enjoy. A life that is true to you. Life is short, tomorrow is never promised, and the years will pass and fly by without you. There is no better time than now to live a life fruitful to you and to be true to yourself. If there is something that you're not necessarily fond of within yourself, you can always change it. We as people and individuals have that power.

One last thing!

Always be you. There is no one else like you. Your friends, your loved ones would definitely love nothing more than for you to live a healthy and happy life. Be healthy, be happy. Be happy, be healthy.

Stay blessed, you're the best
